If it is past normal business hours, call\u00a0<strong>1-866-531-3068<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Certain diseases and conditions are reported to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdh.virginia.gov\/local-health-districts\/\">local health departments<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0so that steps can be taken to prevent others from becoming ill. These steps might include messaging to raise public awareness, pulling a contaminated item from stores, or offering preventive treatments to people who have been exposed.
